The Philippines has the number one fastest growing HIV-AIDS epidemic in the world. Although, when it comes to absolute numbers, HIV prevalance in the country is still low. This reason this is concerning is because the number of HIV cases in the country is rapidly increasing.


How many Filipinos are affected?
According to the 2018 Statistics report of UNAIDS, it is estimated that there are 77,000 people that are living with HIV in the Philippines. However, among the 77,000 it is estimated that only 59,000 know about their status. this poses the public at risk of getting infected.


According to the UN organizers, there were 13,384 new HIV infections by the end of 2018. This is number is 203 percent higher than the number of new infections recorded in 2010.


Lastly, the Department of Health reported that there were about 1,200 cases of AIDS-related deaths in 2019 alone. Being diagnosed with HIV is not the end, being ignorant is. Help fight the epidemic. It's time to
