How is HIV contracted?
HIV can be passed from person to person
It can be contracted by physical contact, specifically from some body fluids such as blood, semen, rectal fluids, and vaginal fluids.

HIV can be transmitted through sexual activities and unhygienic practices
The virus can be passed if these fluids come in contact with a mucous membrane or damaged tissue or if these fluids are directly injected into the bloodstream (from a needle or syringe).
